AN INTRODUCTION TO COTTON SPINNING: Cotton is Easy to Spin 6 hours
The day will be devoted to adjusting and understanding your wheel and preparing it to spin cotton. Then participants with learn how to card cotton, make punis and spin using a long draw. Participants will learn how to spin sliver, to spin directly from the cotton seed, as well as prepare uncarded lint and spin the result.

INTERMEDIATE COTTON SPINNING 6 hours
This class is meant to be a second day, to build on "AN INTRODUCTION TO COTTON SPINNING". There will be a quick review of the first day of the workshop, including reinforcing proper techniques. Participants will then ply their first day cotton singles, as well as learn the details that will carry their spinning from learning the process to designing and completing projects.This busy, productive day also includes an introduction to a variety of cotton slivers plus spinning on the takli.
